After a busy weekend, Safina and I were relaxing and recouping and I started talking to her about how she was going to be a big sister, and that there is a baby sister growing in my belly, and she says "I want a baby belly too" Yikes! Let's hope she waits 25-30 more years! Safina also had a doctor's appointment this week. She is 30 lbs, and 36" tall! Doing great! She also had to have her finger pricked for a blood draw (to check iron), and she did AWESOME! She didn't even cry! Then after the exam she needed a booster shot, again, she did great! A little bit teary, but not really a cry, and she handled it very well! So proud of my big girl! We went to the zoo with daddy this week, and when we left, Safina was very upset! She was crying for a while and the tears were streaming down her face, and she goes "Cena dripping"! It was too cute! Boy does she love her animals! After nap, she didn't stop talking about the zoo and even talked to the baby (in my belly) about all the animals and how she was going to sit on the stone animals and hold the baby, etc. It was so adorable! I love my sweet girl!
Week of June 13th, 2011
We started potty training today! We had three accidents, and then finally a success! We were so excited we cheered and hugged and praised! We said bye bye to our pee pee down the toilet and she got M&M's for doing so well! Let's hope she is starting to get it. Well we are into potty training a few days, and we are getting it a little bit, but still working on it.
It has been one long week of potty training. She gets it, and rarely has an accident, but she holds it for like 6 hours before she goes. It's like she has a "fear" of going. She is getting better, but it is always such a production, and takes forever. I don't think she will go in public either, so that makes our excursions difficult.
We also went on a road trip up to Ikea for an afternoon, to get a bed frame for Safina's big girl room. So we are in the process of finishing up her new room! I will post pics when it is done!

Week of June 20th, 2011
Still working on the potty training and it is going really well! I think she has gotten over her fear, and tells you when she is ready. She still only goes 2 or 3 times a day, but she doesn't have any accidents, and is doing great! We are so proud of our big girl! By the end of the week, she got it! She went in public and on the big potty! She rocks! What a smart girl! So proud! Speaking of, so proud, I love how she now tells me after she goes potty "Mommy happy, mommy so proud of cena!" I guess we tell her that a lot! :) Love me sweet girl!
Week of June 27th, 2011
Last week of gymnastics. She loves it so much, I am trying to decide if I want to deal with the drive in the fall with the baby in tow, so she can do it. Hmmm... We had some fun playdates this week with our friends. So nice to get out again now that potty training is under control. She is doing EXCELLENT by the way! We are getting excited about going to the cottage this weekend! I know Safina is going to love it! Hoping to get a photo shoot in (lets hope she cooperates)!
