HAPPY NEW YEAR'S EVE! We started the day with some cleansing baths! The girls just love bath time, especially Emery! This year we went to our friends Amanda and Eric's for a kid friendly party! Lots of good company, yummy food, and delicious drinks! We had a great time, even though we left early and were in bed by 10:30pm!

Emery is getting so big! She is holding her head up so well, is so observant and wants to see what is going on all the time. She loves to smile and gives us little laughs! Mommy took advantage of a lazy afternoon and took some pictures of Emery, then Safina wanted in on the action, so we got a few of her too!

Busy few days! We got to visit with Grandma who came over to play for a morning! Then our buddies William and Madelyn stopped by for an afternoon, and the kids put on Hello Kitty Tattoo's and William kept calling it a tutu! It was so cute! On a different morning, Mommy's friends from High School, Jamie and Sharyn, came over to visit and catch up! It was so nice. Jamie's husband and daughter tagged along, and Safina had fun playing with Avery! Oh and Mommy dyed her hair one afternoon!

A morning with Gigi! (this was a few days ago, but I had to tell it). The other day Gigi picked up Safina and she was wearing her pink boots and her new purple coat. When they got in the car they had this conversation:
S: "Gigi, do you like my pink boots?"
G: "Yes, they are very pretty!"
S: "Gigi, do you like my purple coat?"
G: "Yes, purple is a great color"
S: "Mommy made me get the purple coat, I wanted the pink one." (arms crossed)
G: "She did?! Well, purple is a great color, and the pink stripe matches your boots so nicely."
S: "sure. I want to grow bigger so I can get a new coat, a pink one!"
G: "You do!"
S: "Yup"
10-15 minutes go by and they are in Gigi's garage.
G: "Careful Safina, it's dirty over there."
S: "Well if I get my coat dirty then I can get a new pink one!"

OH BOY! Who knew she was thinking all these things. FYI I did not MAKE her get the purple coat, I just said we have so much pink, why don't we try purple.

At least we found this awesome purple monster hat to go with the coat!

Safina is loving all her new toys and is playing so nicely with them. She especially loves her new china tea set Gigi gave her and her tiger cub, Lucy and her horse, sweet pea, and her new baby doll (yet to be named). She spends equal time with all her gifts and goes from one to the next. She also loves her squinkies zoo, and is so cute setting it all up! Safina used her Hello Kitty Tattoo's today! This was her first experience with tattoos and she loved them! Mommy even got one too!

Another thing she has been doing is mimicking mommy. She "breath"-feeds all her babies/animals. And even fills the bottles that way (like pumping)! She also puts the burp cloths on her shoulder and walks around like Mommy, it is a riot! She is such a sweet girl!

** Safina spilled something on her shirt and insisted on taking it off!**

MERRY CHRISTMAS! Safina slept in a bit, but Emery kept us up most of the early morning. Safina was so excited that Santa came, and when I said "do you want to open stockings?" she replied "no, I don't want to put stockings on, I want to open presents!" Love her! She had a blast and got all kinds of wonderful things. She got a squinkies zoo, a baby tiger that she can feed and put to sleep, and a innopad which is like an ipad for kids! What a lucky girl! Not to mention all the great stuff she got from the rest of her family! Emery got a collection of Gossie books, a few small toys, and sparkly gold ballet slippers!

After a busy morning, Mommy's family came over to open even more presents! We all got such great stuff! We are so very fortunate for all that we have! Daddy even surprised Mommy with a new wedding band! That was a HUGE shock! It is beautiful and Mommy will cherish it forever!

After a nap and some cleanup, we headed over to Papa and Grandma Kathy's house. We had a fabulous dinner and a nice visit and opened some fun gifts! Safina got a dog house for doggie that Papa built and an awesome pink zebra print blanket! Emery got a couple cute outfits!

Merry Christmas Eve! We spent the afternoon/evening with Tony's family! We went to mass, had a wonderful dinner, opened presents and visited! What a wonderful evening! But boy are we whooped!

I have been so bad with taking pictures lately, with Christmas coming, there is just so much going on!

Safina has started an exercise class, which she LOVES and mommy LOVES it b/c it gets her energy out! In class this week, it was just her and another girl and she kept asking Coach Kelly "what comes next coach kelly?"

Baby Emery had her 2 month appointment today! She is a little chunker weighing in at 11lbs 6oz and measuring 21 1/2 inches long! She also got a ton of shots, which she did not like at ALL, and is still fussing about it. My poor little baby! Big sister was crying with her, b/c she didn't want to see her baby sister cry!

We had a wonderful visit with our friends William and Madelyn who were up for a visit! Boy did we miss them! We are excited we get to hang out with them again next week, but sad that they have to head home soon!

Later this evening Uncle Sam and Aunt Laurel came over for a visit and had a couple gifts for the girls. Safina got her first barbie, Princess Aurora and both girls received towels with their names on them, a big hit!

Safina has been pretending to be Santa Claus and will put on a hat and say "Ho Ho Ho, what do you want boy" or "Ho Ho Ho, what do you want person", it is hysterical and adorable!

This morning we had our good friends over for a Christmas Party! What a chaotic day, but the kids had fun! They exchanged presents, and of course they all wanted what the other had! LOL!

Tonight we went out to dinner for Daddy's birthday with his family! We had a nice time and a yummy dinner at The Delaware!

We got it! We finally got our christmas card photo! HAHAHA Took me long enough! We also did some baking (or as Safina refers to it, cookie making)! Then we dressed up like princesses!

Today we went to visit Papa and Grandma Kathy! We had a yummy lunch and a nice visit! Safina just loves playing with Papa! We went back to their house after lunch and "hunted" for kitties! Those cats are terrified of Safina!

Rex came over to play this morning while his Momma was volunteering at Malloy's school. Safina did so great with him, trying to make him comfortable, and distract him. It was so adorable! Then they watched Tangled together.

Happy Birthday Daddy! He has a busy day today, so we don't really get to celebrate. So Safina and I put candles on some donuts and sang happy birthday to him at breakfast!

What a busy couple days! Emery is awake more now, and becoming so observant. She has been really fussy lately, so we went to the doctors today, and it turns out she has a UTI, poor thing. So she is going on antibodies to help clear that up. We have also been giving her Mylicon which seems to be helping. She is so sweet when she feels good. Smiling, and cooing, melts my heart! Safina was such a good girl at the doctors, they decided to do her exam today, so we don't have to come back next week. She said ok, as long as she didn't get shots... luckily they didn't have to give her any! Emery is weighing in at 10lbs 6oz and Safina was 34 pounds and 37" tall! In the evening Safina had her first dance class! She looked so cute all dressed up and with her new ballet slippers on! What a chaotic mess though, when she focused she did really well, but she mainly was running around like a crazy girl!

Today we went to Brooke's for a playdate and to decorate gingerbread houses! My girls had a blast and loved playing and decorating! Safina was good about not eating the candy as she made her house! Gianna even got a special treat, holding Emery!
