I was "shobeling" (according to Emery) today and she is watching me from the window.  After maybe 15 minutes, she sticks her head out and yells "I tell you something mommy".  Then goes back inside, then sticks her head out again not a second later "I love you".  She did this about 4 times.  My heart swelled!  I love this little bear!

Long time since I posted last. Life has been so busy. We sold our house (In a day) and bought a new one. We are moving at the end of September!  So excited!  My girls are growing so fast and challenging me every step of the way. Safina is getting so tall and turning into a little lady. Emery is not a baby anymore! She is talking all the time. She "sings" along in the car. Her favorite rhyme is Itsy bitsy spider. She adores her big sister and misses her terribly when she is at school. She keeps me so busy and is the sweetest little thing and a huge ham!

Mom:  your heart is broken?
Safina:  yeah, for Emery, my heart is broken.
Mom:  do you mean you have a broken heart because you feel bad for her?
Safina:  yes. my poor baby sister!

Yeah!  Weekend get away for the moms!  We did our annual trip up to the Johnson Cottage and had a full 24 hours without kids and responsibilities!  So nice to just bum around and have fun!  Before I left I was putting make up on, and Safina says to me:  "you're almost pretty mommy".  oohhhh  BURN by my daughter! LOL

Emery is loving songs right now.  She really digs "row row row your boat" and "bringing home a baby bumble bee".  She also loves zipping things open and shut.  Purses, zip lock bags, anything she can find.  When she does it successfully she will lift her hand up and say hi for a high-five!

Emery's two molars have through one on each side on top.  She now knows where her nose and mouth are and she's learning lots of new words.  She uses signing a lot still, which is so helpful when she wants something.  But her usual way to communicate is to whine and growl!

We told Safina about Andrew and Janet expecting!  We told her she was going to be a cousin!  and that it was going to be a boy!  She is so so so excited and has started calling the baby: uncle baby!

Safina is getting so big, and she is the sweetest big sister.  She is learning so much at school, and it completely blows me away!

Emery is now doing the Queen wave and a very enthusiastic big head nod. We are switching her to a sippy cup, but it is not going well.  She is holding out for the bottle, but I took them completely away.  We are going on one week with very limited use of the sippy cup.

EMERY
She comprehends so much! Like stinky diaper and she will get you a new diaper or 5. She will nod yes and no to questions. She loves fruit. Loves it. She loves routine saying good night to sister blowing kisses. Hand sanitizer at the gym. Bottle after naps Etc.  When she is happy she does this happy shoulder dance (so cute) (it usually happens in relation to food).  She waves and says HI!  And she knows where her eyes are and says eye!  She will also gauge your eye out to show you where yours is!  Adding to her word list are: milk, hi, up, eye,  Likes baby bumble bee song.  Putting dirty clothes down the laundry shoot and splashing in the tub!

Hanging out at home after the new year!  Emery shopping with her purse and reading in her chair!  Safina went to Build a Bear with Uncle Andrew and Aunt Janet, and had a blast!  The girls dressed up and danced around while playing with their animals.

Since it was an absolutely gorgeous day today, we decided to go to the zoo! What a perfect idea! Safina had a blast! She LOVES the zoo, and Emery enjoyed her first visit, even though she slept the whole time! Later on we went to Gigi's house for dinner and a little birthday celebration for mommy! We had a good time, but everyone was a little tired today. I received some great gifts and we had a yummy cake! Thanks everyone!

Emery is talking more and more!  She says "hi", "milk", "up", and "mommy/daddy".  She is also teething right now and she is getting like 6 at once, the poor thing is in some serious pain!  I am teaching her how to turn the light switch on and off and she loves doing that.  She also loves getting people their shoes when she knows we are leaving the house.  Occasionally she will blow someone a kiss, and it is the sweetest thing ever!  She is a tease and a flirt, and she LOVES to give hugs and snuggles!  I adore this child!

The big one (Safina), is all into pretend playing, and I love it!  She will call her friends on the "phone" and have conversations with them.  She plays doctor, waitress, and life guard!  She is playing so nicely by herself which is fabulous!  Little sister usually comes and messes things up though!  She also will tell us what is going to happen ("I am going to have milk and watch a show, then take a nap.  That's my deal!")  So the "that's my deal" phrase gets used a lot at our house!

Yesterday we went to Build-a-Bear with Uncle Andrew and Aunt Janet!  They gave Safina a gift card for Christmas, and she was so excited to make her own animal!  She choose a calico kitty, put a music option in her ("girls just wanna have fun") and a fun pink sparkle top and a frilly skirt!  Don't forget the leash, her favorite part!  She named the kitty Cheetah (which is really weird, b/c Janet had a kitty growing up whose name was Cheetah).  She had a blast.

Goofing around!  Lazy day, hanging out at home.  One of our favorite things to do as a family is to roll around, wrestle, tickle fight, and cuddle on Mommy and Daddy's bed!  I love our family time, it is so sweet!
