I love my polite little girl! "Thank you, welcome" She not only says thank you, but also says welcome, it is like one long word: thankyouwelcome and it makes me smile. EVERY TIME! She also says "excuse me" after she burps or toots!
We had a fun impromptu play date with Malloy this morning and it ended at King and I! Erin and I enjoyed some yummy thai while the girls played with their food and drew on the paper tablecloth!
Mommy got to sneak away to see the Eclipse movie with Kyle, Sarah, Janet, and most of Sarah's family! We had a great time, and it was nice to get out!
Day 234: July 2, 2010
Today started off pretty low key! Safina and I ran to the grocery store early, and on our way we got a call from Gigi asking if we wanted to play! So after groceries, we headed to Gigi's to pick her up! Then off to lunch at Applebee's where we got a call from Uncle Andrew and invited him along, so we had a nice impromptu lunch! Then Gigi, Safina and I went to Toys R Us to pick out birthday presents for our little Nerty! Gigi kept putting things in the cart, luckily mommy was there to keep the spoiling to a minimum! After our power shop we headed home for a nap! After making homemade mac and cheese from scratch to take to Matt, Ida, William and Madelyn's cottage tomorrow, we headed to Kurt, Jamie, Gianna, and Kenadee's for a fun family BBQ! The food was outstanding and the company was splendid! The girls had an awesome time chasing each other around the yard, and Tony even learned how to make a s'more! What a fabulous start to the July 4th weekend!

Up and at'em! We headed down to Chautauqua today for a fun family day with the Butwins! They have a cottage on Lake Chautauqua with an amazing view and fun relaxing activities! We hung out in the grass while the kiddos played in the kiddie pool, and jumped in the inner tubes and played in the kayaks! After a yummy lunch and a boat ride (which Safina LOVED). The kiddos took a nap and the adults got to visit and relax. We had a yummy taco dinner and they had a little birthday celebration for Safina (yummy brownie oreo cupcakes) not to mention the most adorable birthday gift dresses! Thank you friends! We had a such a fabulous time, and would have stayed later, but had to get Miss Safina home for bed!

Happy 4th of July!
Safina spent the morning with Gigi and Bob, which gave us the chance to get ready for our 4th of July party! So we had a busy morning and got what we needed done! Our friends came and we had a great visit and a delicious (something different) dinner! The doggies had a blast chasing each other around, and Safina got a kick out of them. They even joined her in the kiddie pool! We capped the night off with a dip in the hot tub!

Scorcher! Man it is hot today! We went to our friend Gianna's house today for a bathing beauties playdate! The girls ran around the yard, jumped in the pool, played with chalk, and avoided the sprinkler! We had a great time, and us mommies sat in the shade (as it grew smaller and smaller). On our way to Gianna's we passed the Dent Tower and Safina looks over and says "Daddy?" I was like, OMG "yes, that's where daddy works!" I was so shocked that she remembered! I have only pointed it out like two or three times (and not recently). A mom's group meeting for me tonight! So nice to get out and meet new members joining our group! Yay for a good day!

Today Safina and I enjoyed a nice quiet day at home! We cleaned, and played and just hung out! We stayed inside because it is HOT out there!

Playdate at our house this morning! Another scorcher but we filled up the kiddie pool and put the tent over the sand box! The kiddos ran around and played while the mommies stayed huddled in the shade of the umbrella! We had Uncle Kyle and Aunt Sarah over for dinner! It was yummy and they brought a fun strawberry and cream dessert! Such a nice evening! Safina loved playing with Uncle Kyle. They were playing a game that started with "1, 2, 3, GO!" you scream and then you run from the sliding door to the dinning room! Then turn around and repeat! During dinner Safina said she was all done, b/c she wanted to play with Uncle Kyle. Well he was still eating, so she got up in the chair next to him and anxiously awaited him to be done with his dinner! It was so cute!

Day 240: July 8, 2010
Early start today, got up at 6am, got ready, dropped Safina off at Gigi's then off to the dentist to fix the temporary filling that fell out on my root canal. They were done so quick, then I was back to Gigi's to pick up Safina then head to Jamie, Gianna, and Kenadee's. The girls were watching Safina for me while I went to a different doctors appointment. After that I headed back to Jamie's for an organizers meeting for my mom's group. We had a great visit (I love my friends)! Safina had so much fun she fell asleep in the car on the way home. We grocery shopped in the afternoon, where she flirted with all the old men! Then hung out inside to avoid the nasty heat!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTER! Wow! I can't believe you are TWO already! I love you so so so much! Mommy and Daddy hope you have a really terrific birthday! Daddy was home today, so it was a really nice low key day as a family! First we let her open a present! (Fisher Price Cash Register) Then we baked cupcakes for her birthday party! She just loves helping! Then later in the afternoon we played outside, and Safina watered the plants with a squishy ball, silly girl!

Mermaid Themed Second Birthday Party!
So much fun! there were S'mores on a stick centerpieces, cupcake tower, bubble favors, a fishing game, a kiddie pool, sandbox, and tons of fun!
What a perfect day! The weather was awesome! The kids had a ball, we even had water balloons to throw at each other! So much fun! Safina got some great gifts but really just enjoyed being with her family and friends!

The quiet after the storm! Another nice day at home just the three of us! We cleaned up, relaxed and played outside! Daddy mowed the lawn, and Safina helped! We mostly just enjoyed the beautiful day!

Playdate at Charlotte and Sammy's today! I think Safina and I are still on party overload! We had a great visit and fun play with our friends. Mommy kept asking Safina to dump water on her legs, it felt so nice! Safina is now starting to put people's names with things they are doing or using. Example: Malloy was riding around in a push car, and Safina points at her and says "Malloy car", and Brooke was swinging in the swing and Safina says "Brook swing". So neat seeing her make all the connections!
Day 245: July 13, 2010
This day did not go as planned! (but I did get a workout in, believe it or not) We had a fun lunch date planned with Erin and Malloy, but my little Safina had a fever, so we had to cancel. So Safina and I snuggled up on the couch and watched movies and took naps all day. Poor little thing. She was so snuggly, she clearly was not feeling well. She seemed in better spirits toward the end of the day and even asked to call Gigi, so we called Gigi and Safina talked to her all on her own! Then when she was done, she simply hung up on Gigi. But the cutest part was then she kissed the phone, as to say goodbye! It was adorable! Feel better princess!

Baby girl is growing fast! 25 lbs 6oz, 33 inches tall, and I swear her foot grew a full size in the last month! Why must she rush! She didn't like the doctors office. Didn't like the doctor touching her, and the shots were AWFUL! My poor baby!
At least we had a great time when we Erin and Malloy for lunch afterward at Red Robin! The girls had a nice time.

Safina and I set up the pool this morning for our playgroup and then had a blast playing with our friends! Lots of sun and fun! After naptime, Safina and I painted our toe nails a pretty blue! She just loves getting her fingers painted, it is so cute! Later we met at Daddy's work to take his picture for an advertisement they are doing. Then Safina stayed with the Michaels family while Mommy went for dinner at King and I with the ladies! So much fun!

Garage Sale today! We set up a garage sale on a spur of the moment! Trying to get rid of a bunch of stuff before we move (if that happens). Safina was playing with all the toys, but she was pretty good when people would take them. We sold maybe half of the stuff today! Not too bad! Later in the afternoon we ran some errands, and just hung out as a family!

Garage Sale Day #2! Slow start, but we ended up selling half of what was leftover! The rest we are going to donate, none of this is coming back in my house! I also had a photo shoot this morning, so a fun break was an order! I took a nice little mid day break and went to get a pedicure with Erin! So nice and relaxing! Thanks Erin! We had a great day, but we are exhausted! We are also cleaning up for an open house tomorrow!

"Momma" "Momma" "Hungee" These are the cries I heard from Safina's room this morning! So I got up and made her some cinnamon toast, which sounds like "toes" when she says it! After breakfast, Gigi came and picked up Safina for a fun morning! When they got back, mommy learned that Safina asked to go potty at Gigi's house, and sat on the potty, and went #1 and #2!!! I am so proud of her! We will see if she keeps it up!

Check out my new baby! Thank you garage sale, credit card points, coupon, and rebate form! After all is said and done, I only paid $45 for this baby! And I am supporting breast cancer! HA!
We had a great morning playing with our friends! Safina was very excited that her buddy Gianna is back in town! After they left she kept asking for her. All day I kept asking Safina if she had to go potty, but she always said no. I am thinking I should read the 3 day potty training guide and see if we can do it. But I am going away in two weeks and I just don't want to leave Tony with craziness, so maybe I will wait till I get back.
This afternoon Safina stirred marshmellos in three different bowls while mommy made dinner! She was so sweet today!

Today Safina and I broke in the new mixer! You should have seen our faces! We were thrilled beyond belief. That was the easiest batch of cookies I have ever made! Safina was in awe! She just loves cooking/baking and is such a great little helper in the kitchen!

Crazy day! Two photo shoots after a downpour, so it was pretty muggy! But they turned out well! Cleaned up in the afternoon for a house showing this evening. After the showing I was blowing out the candles and Safina says "Happy Birthday, Yay!" So adorable!
"Silly Momma!" Tonight as I am tucking in my angel, she calls me Silly Momma! I melt! I was putting her in pajamas and pretending her feet smelled, and she just coos and says "Silly Momma!" I LOVE HER!

Safina and I are stranded at home today! We had our little friend Malloy over to play (and her mommy), it was an impromptu visit but loads of fun! The girls are so cute together. Safina I can see may be getting a little bossy! She is always concerned on where Malloy is, making sure she has a cracker, you know, all those kinds of things!
Gigi picked up Safina early evening for a puppet show!
Day 255: July 23, 2010
Up and at 'em! We headed to the cottage this weekend! Unfortunately the weather is not looking promising. We got there around 11am. As soon as we got out of the car Safina says "William? Ida?" She remembers our trip to their cottage and immediately thought that is where we are! Unpacked the car, then went for a walk on the beach! Safina loved it! We headed back for some "peanut jelly" (Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches) as Safina calls them. Then we changed into our suits and headed to the water! Played in the sand, and even attempted a little bit of a swim (it was really wavy, so we didn't go in very far). It is so nice to be up here! I just love it here, it is simply magical! As the sun was setting Tony and I saw some lightning so we sat on the beach and watched this amazing lightning storm. It literally covered the whole sky, it was insane! And the best part, we fell asleep listening to the waves! Man I love this place!
Day 256: July 24, 2010
Another morning walk along the beach! Safina loves picking rocks and then asking Mommy and Daddy to throw them in the lake! A little bit of rain on and off today, so we took a trip into town and checked out a couple stores. Then headed back for lunch. After nap we played on the beach some more and went for a swim! To get Safina to try to swim, I would throw her kick board then help her swim to it, and when she reached it, she would proudly announce "I got it!" So cute! She also loves balls and kicking them! She will have a ball in her hand and say "Ball" then put it on the ground and say "Kick" and then kick the ball, she will do this over and over, and says "kick" every time she kicks the ball! We also had a nasty fall today, she fell off the stairs. Luckily everything was ok, and it was just scary for everyone! Another great night falling asleep to the waves!
Day 257: July 25, 2010
Ugh another dreary day. This is the second year in a row where we didn't get any sun while we were at the cottage. We started the morning with a nice walk, then hung out in the house for a bit. Finally around 10am we decided to head home b/c it just looked like rain and we had stuff to get done. So we pack up and I clean the cottage, and as we are pulling away an hour later, the sky opens up and the sun pours out! I hate the sun! Why does it do this to me! Since we were already packed up we decided to just go home, but I was mad the whole way, next year we will stay all day, no matter what! Safina went down for a nap when we got home. I mowed the lawn, while Tony worked on the porch. Then Gigi came over and we went roller blading, it felt great! I need to do this more often! Then we went out to dinner with Uncle Kyle, Aunt Sarah and Gigi! It was a great ending to a great weekend! So nice to be home, but I miss being up at the beach!

"Some" Everything is some. If you are eating, drinking, holding something, she runs up to you and says "Some"! And how can you resist her! So of course we share, and then she gives you the biggest freakin' smile that just turns you inside out! I love my adorable little girl!
This afternoon we filled the baby pool, and ran around the yard buck-naked (well Safina did). She even mowed the lawn au natural! She had a blast! Safina's Godmother, Laurel came over to play with little Molly dog! Safina loves chasing Molly! She was very polite and kept trying to share everything with Molly. She would go in her baby pool and say "Molly, here" then she would travel over to the sandbox and say "Molly, here". She wanted Molly to do everything with her! Thanks for coming to play!
Day 259: July 27, 2010
This morning Safina had to get blood drawn for lead testing, a routine thing done at 2 years old, so no worries. So we went to Quest Lab and we are sitting there, and she is making smiley faces at everyone, and making lots of friends. Then we get called into the room, and things are very exciting. Then they are holding her down and you can just see the world crashing down in her face. "No. Home. No thank you!" she pleads, and it breaks your heart. Luckily it is over quickly but not without large crocodile tears and a pouty lip. I hug and kiss her and when she asks to go home this time I say, "yes, let's go home!"
I love my little girl, and her sweet innocence. I love our afternoons of pouring tea and taking big long fake sips! Of playing with our little baby doll, putting her to bed, giving her a bath, feeding her and stopping her from 'crying'. Of playing with our wooden cake set, and pretend eating and decorating! Mostly I just love our afternoons of doing anything and everything together!
*look at what my little "angel" did! This is why you always check on your child when they are being too quiet! At least it wasn't on the furniture or walls!*

Mommy had a photoshoot for our good friends Gianna and Kennadee this morning! The girls had so much fun. They were dressing up in tutus and dancing around! Then when it was time for them to go Safina kept saying "Gianna, home, no" She didn't want her friend to leave.
After nap we went for a walk with our little buddy Patrick who is now 11 weeks old! How did that happen! After that we headed to the airport to pick up Tony's Aunt Wendy who was staying overnight for a visit! We had a yummy pulled pork dinner with sweet potato wedges and peas! Safina loved the potato wedges and kept eating mine!

"William...William...William..." imagine that on repeat for over an hour! She was obviously very excited to be seeing her buddy this morning. We had a fun morning playing at the park. Safina especially loved the swing, and kept wanting "more swing" which apparently means higher! While in the swing Safina saw Malloy and kept repeating "Malloy, swing, ok, yeah!" She wanted her friend to come swing with her!
After the park we headed to Andersons for lunch with Erin and Malloy! The girls had a great time sharing an ice cream cone, so adorable!

"I got it" Safina's new phrase! She is really starting to take off with the talking and stringing two or three words together (and they actually make sense)! But she also loves just saying colors, even when she isn't meaning to talk about colors. Her favorite are "Yellow and Blue, and sometimes Pink" I wonder if that means they are her favorite colors? Maybe I should start dressing her in all yellow!
Well since we received some bad news about one of Tony's jobs the other day, my girls weekend in Kentucky was cancelled. I am so bummed. But my girls are still going and they met at our house before they left so at least I got to see three of them! I hope you have a fabulous time ladies!
William, Madelyn and Ida came over to play this morning! The kids have such a ball chasing each other back and forth through our livingroom/kitchen! While Mommy was getting tips from Ida on potty training.
After Safina's nap we headed to Nonnie's house! They have a new puppy, Bella, who is simply adorable. She is a Toy Poodle in the prettiest chocolate brown with a little white crest on her chest! Safina had a ball playing with her and the big kids. Then we headed to Target so Safina could pick out some big girl underwear! Operation Potty Train starts tomorrow!
Day 261: July 31, 2010
At 0700 hours Operation Potty Train commences day one! Private is briefed (in more than one way) on the world of bathrooms, toilets, and underwear! We had three accidents in the morning, and then two successful potty's, but I caught it, she didn't tell me. I am praying she understands this!
Ok fast forward through a difficult day, I really don't think she is understanding this. We may have jumped the gun too fast! So we are going to wait a few more months before trying again.
We stopped by Uncle Kyle and Aunt Sarah's tonight to say hello, and Safina terrified the kitties! At one point Lily was sniffing Safina's shoe, and Safina ran over to the show and said "Shoe Mine"! We all busted out laughing, I couldn't believe she did and said that! Her verbal is advancing so quickly!
