So my adorable little girl is teething! Those pesky molars are coming in, and she is constantly chewing on her fingers! We were eating lunch and she was more interested in chewing on her fingers then her sandwich!
Day 2: November 12, 2009
So I am busy crafting away. So far I have completed two baby cocoon bowls for my photography, one in brown, the other teal. I am working on my third which is a purple/pink color with some whispy yarn mixed in. I am very excited about these, because there are some new babies arriving soon that I cannot wait to take pictures of! Plus once I finish the knitting I can move onto my next craft: pillow case dresses!!! YAY for crafting!
Day 3: November 13, 2009

Today I did pictures of my "baby" brother and his sweet girlfriend Sarah! They are so much fun to work with and we had a nice time walking around Delaware Park! I love how comfortable they are with each other! What a blast, and some cute shots to boot! Tony, Safina and I also enjoyed a nice lunch with them afterwards!
Day 4: November 14, 2009

Last night I participated in the Extreme Makeover Home Edition. What a cool thing to experience! It was a mad house! There were so many people there, and everyone thinking they were more important then the next and wanting to help "the most". So it was a very interesting situation of way too many different personality's clashing! But still an experience and was very neat to see behind the scenes. Which leads me to my picture... I am exhausted. I wish I could have the life of a cat sometimes! Kitty, can we trade places for a day?
Day 5: November 15, 2009

Today we went over to visit Uncle Andrew and Aunt Janet and take a few pictures of them for their xmas card. Little Miss chased the kitties all over the house! Not sure they liked that, but we distracted her with a tupper-ware bowl and a toy mouse and she made mouse stew! We ran a few errands then crashed at home and hung out! Busy busy!
Day 6: November 16, 2009

Here is a picture of my old boss (on the right) and another helper at the Extreme Makeover Home Edition. They are working on the closet of one of the little girl's rooms. I didn't take the picture, but I felt that this was a piece of what I have done that should be up here!
Day 7: November 17, 2009

So this is what I have been dealing with all day! A whiney toddler who is getting molars! The poor thing was a mess today. She is definitely getting one on top on both sides. Who knows there may be more coming too! It is so hard when nothing seems to help her. Hopefully she will get some sleep tonight! On a side note, I finished my purple/pink cocoon bowl! I will try to get a picture up of all the bowls. Hopefully they will be FULL (of baby) soon! Now I can't wait to work on my next project! Just have to find the time.
Day 8: November 18, 2009

Obviously we are doing much better today, and she slept well last night!
This morning we were watching our buddy William! His little sister is due soon, so his mommy had a doctor's appointment. We love little William and his gorgeous blue eyes! He is a little shy, but has really been warming up to us and getting very comfortable! He is such a sweet kid, and doesn't get into trouble! I am hoping to get a few pictures of him and his sister (in belly and out)! Oh and Sarah is trying to score us tickets to see New Moon on Saturday afternoon... how fun, a movie, I haven't been to one in soooo long! Plus an afternoon with the girls, always a good thing!
Day 9: November 19, 2009

We are learning to eat our food in bigger pieces, and biting off an appropriate siez for chewing. It isn't going too well... she usually takes a really tiny bite, or slams the whole thing in her mouth!
I had my first maternity photo shoot today, which was really fun! check out the website for pictures: http://katieladota.shutterfly.com
Day 10: November 20, 2009

What a busy day today! First I had a photoshoot in the morning, then we went to the lawyer's office to finalize our will. With mommy and daddy leaving for vacation soon, we wanted to make sure little miss was well taken care of! After that we went to the restaurant (Root Five) to take pictures for my brother (he is working on the new website!) and had a wonderful meal thanks go Grandpa! After that it was off to the Sabres game (Safina's second time!), she made it to the the third period but then had to go! What a busy day, I am exhausted.
Day 11: November 21, 2009

Another Photoshoot this morning. Holidays are keeping me busy! Then I went to see New Moon with Sarah, Kyle, Sarah's mom and their friend Vanessa. It was much better then the first movie, but I still prefer the books! Safina spent the whole day with daddy, and the two of them had an awesome time! I came home to some jumping on the bed!
I have been taking pictures with my new point and shoot, and I kinda hate it. Not sure what I am doing wrong, need to still play with it, but the images come out terrible! If only the DSLR wasn't so large to lug around!
Day 12: November 22, 2009

Safina slept TERRIBLY last night! I was a zombie this morning. Thankfully, Gigi came over around noon and took little miss with her for some errands! Tony and I went grocery shopping, so it was perfect! Then we fooled around with some headbands that my mom got Safina the two of them were playing in the mirror, so adorable! She is such a riot, just love that girl!
Day 13: November 23, 2009

Happy Birthday Uncle Kyle! Safina and Mommy took Uncle Kyle and Aunt Sarah out to lunch today! We went to PF Changs, which was kinda neat. Other then that we had a low key day at home. Safina is almost able to say "bubbles" and she says Dada. Still working on the Momma! (shhhh I forgot to take a picture today so here is an older one)
Day 14: November 24, 2009

Another hang-around-the-house day for Safina and Mommy. I cleaned up a little bit, and worked on a bunch of images from some photo shoots. I had a photo shoot at noon, so we did that too! Then spent the afternoon chasing each other around! She is so fun, and growing up so fast. This picture I took while we were enjoying some crackers for a snack. She looks so mature! SCARY! but man is she gorgeous!
Day 15: November 25, 2009

Safina loves this book about a giraffe, and his head pops out through the center. She always has to kiss the giraffe while we are reading the book. She is so cute.
First William and Ida came over to play for a little bit this morning! They always have so much fun! We are still waiting for William's little sister to make her appearance... Today we also started getting ready for Thanksgiving! Prepping the house to make room for all the people!
Day 16: November 26, 2009

This image is for my grandpa. He hated squirrels in his bird feeders and would scare them away with a Beebe gun. I think the feeder took it worse then the squirrels!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING! We visited Great Grandma R this morning and got to see Grandpa Dave and Kathy! It was such a sad feeling, even though the conversation was light and happy. Grandpa's birthday was yesterday, and the tradition of Thanksgiving at my grandparents is over, so it was just really sad. But I tried not to focus on it, adn just be glad that Grandma is still here with us.
After wards we headed back to our house for Turkey Day Celebration. Mom's friend Bob made a yummy turkey, while I made all the sides. Sarah made a yummy apple pie, and we had poppyseed cake for Kyle's birthday. We also had craft hour after dinner and made some cute clothespin hangers that will hold artwork and pictures.
Luckily Tony and I made it through the day, b/c little miss did not allow us to get any sleep last night. So it was a long night for all of us. Hopefully she will sleep better tonight... we need it!
Day 17: November 27, 2009

Happy Black Friday! Although I did not brave the masses, I did do a little internet shopping and got some great deals! In the early afternoon I had a photoshoot for the girls I used to babysit (a Christmas present to their parents), shhhhh... don't tell! They are so cute! I just loved catching up with them! After that I had to clean and cook and get ready for my Cousin's dinner that I was hosting. Trying to get all my R cousins together and catch up since, we haven't seen each other in a while.
Dinner went great, we had a nice visit, and yummy food! I am thinking we should do this a couple times a year. Hopefully everyone will be up for that!
Day 18: November 28, 2009

Happy Thanksgiving again! Celebrating Turkey Day with Tony's family today! We had a nice visit and ate lots of yummy food! The kids had a ball chasing Safina around, and we were all exhausted watching! Tony headed off to the Sabres game after dessert, and my good friend Sharyn came over to visit, just us girls! I miss my Sharyn... so glad we were able to catch up!
Day 19: November 29, 2009

Our Annual Christmas Tree Hunt! What a fun outing that we look forward to every year. We are now going on our third year with Aunt Laurel and Uncle Sam! The first year I was pregnant, the second year Safina was just a few months old, now she is almost 17 months old and an active participant! Although when we tagged her, I think she was worried we were going to cut her down!
Day 20: November 30, 2009

Well it is up... the tree is standing. Now to decorate it. I really hate doing the lights. The tree may sit a few days nekkid! So far Safina has left it alone for the most part, which is great, so hopefully we won't have to put the gate around it. We did a little christmas shopping today, but for the most part just stuck around home and caught up after the chaos of the weekend!

When did I last tell you how much I love you? I clearly do not share it enough!! I finally found the time to check out the blogs you had mentioned. I sit here with tears rolling down my cheek and grinning from ear to ear. Thank you for sharing such fun little tidbits about your life. You are so amazing ... how lucky am I to have you and your wonderful little girl in my life. I watch you falling madly in love with your daughter and want you to know I had this same intense love affair each day that I spent raising you. Magnify that by 30 years and perhaps you will better understand why you and your brothers are my world. Enjoy each day, children grow up way too fast! I cherish my time with each of you more than you'll ever know. Sending gigantic colossal warm & fuzzy hugs.
