April Fools!
No jokes played today! We just chilled out, Safina is still recovering from her cold. We played outside a bit and just enjoyed the nice weather. I had a photoshoot while Safina was napping, and was able to work with a very adorable little girl!
Later I was able to get out for some Mommy time. My good friend Ida was having a Tupperware party, so I went over there and had a nice time with the ladies! And bought some cool Tupperware!
Day 143: April 2, 2010
Another gorgeous day! Wow! Safina and I headed over to Erin and Ella's house for a playgroup this morning which included a fun Easter Egg Hunt, but Safina had no interest in the eggs, she just wanted to run around outside! After that we headed home, where I had a photoshoot with 6 kids! (two families). Wow, was that busy! Meanwhile Tony was busy painting the chairs for Easter! After that we headed to the backyard and played in the sandbox, drew with chalk, and kicked the ball, while daddy unpacked most of the shed, so our patio furniture is out! YIPPEEE!!!! Then we joined his aunt and her family for dinner, what a busy day!
Day 144: April 3, 2010
Busy Busy, we just never stop! Cooked, baked, cleaned, grocery shopped and decorated cookies this morning. Hoping to get a break this afternoon. Then we are heading to Gigi's for Easter dinner! Yummy! Can't wait to see the family!
We had a wonderful time at Gigi's! She hid eggs for us big kids and we had to find one (we each had a color). I found mine first! HA! It was a great time, Tony still hasn't found his! We keep joking that we will find it next year!
Day 145: April 4, 2010
Happy Easter!
Safina spent the night at Gigi's so Tony and I had a quiet morning, but it was short. Off to pick up Safina and then meet Tony's family at church. After church we headed home to get ready for Easter Dinner at our house! So we finished setting up, and I started making dinner. We had a very nice visit with everyone, and the meal was yummy. Now time to unwind!

Day 146: April 5, 2010
So behind on pictures. I will try and upload some today. Also have to work on a few photo shoots that I did last week. Of course all of this will happen after our fun playgroup this morning!
Ok, well playgroup was a blast, we ended up getting side tracked and going to Cheeburger Cheeburger for lunch! Five moms and five babies! What a great time! But we were all exhausted afterwards! So I didn't work on any pictures, I was way too tired!
After nap Safina and I played outside, then planted a few flowers in a little kit she got in her easter basket and we CUT THE PINEAPPLE!!! It is so yummy!
Then spent the evening with my good friends Janice and Joella! So nice to catch up! Love you ladies!
Day 147: April 6, 2010
"Sorry"
That is Safina's new word! But it sounds more like "Surry" Oh and she says Cereal, but it sounds more like "ceary"! She loves eating her rice krispies in the morning!
Our buddy William came over this morning with his mommy and sister! William and Safina haven't seen each other in a while, so they were happy to play together again! We jumped around on cushions then went to the basement and they loved playing with our "kid gym"!
In the afternoon we drove around looking for houses, then picked up some new toys from some friends. Not sure Safina is really into them, so we will see.

Day 148: April 7, 2010
Rough morning. Safina woke up around 4:30am and would not go back to sleep, so I brought her to bed with us. She slept for a little bit, but only if she was laying on my stomach, which was not comfortable for me. So we were all kinda tired this morning. I put on her new favorite show "wow wow wubbzy" and sneaked away to take a shower. Just seconds later I hear whining and crying at the gate. I yell to her to wait, I will be out in a second. Then I hear the footsteps, she opened the dinning room door and made her way to the bathroom, threw back the shower curtain, and was whining. She wouldn't stop, so I stripped her down and brought her in the shower with me (two birds one stone). The shower ended in a bath, b/c she was too slippery!
Right as our friends were arriving for playgroup we got pelted with hail! Man those suckers were huge too! What a great playgroup, we love our friends! Safina took a 2 hour nap (on the shorter side) and was kinda crabby. She continued to eat all afternoon, and I was thinking she wouldn't eat dinner, but she did! We made cupcakes for Uncle Kyle and Aunt Sarah (Safina held the mixer all by herself, and she was so proud, she kept looking at her daddy like, look what I am doing!) Another great day, but I am beat... off to bed soon!
Day 149: April 8, 2010
My willow tree has budded! And the little plant Safina and I planted earlier this week, has sprouted! I love spring!
We had a busy morning running errands, then Mommy had a photo shoot while Safina napped. So lucky me was able to take pictures of two gorgeous ladies! Too bad the sun was not cooperating b/c it was a tad too dark. We will probably have to shoot again!
Day 150: April 9, 2010
So I get the princess up this morning, and I am changing her diaper, and I tell her that we are going to go downstairs and wake daddy up, and she says "daddy". So I nod, then I stand her up, and she points to a tiara that is on her shelf and goes "hat". So I put her tiara on and she just smiles and doesn't even touch it. Then she says "show" which means she wants to watch TV. So I let her wear it downstairs, meanwhile she hasn't touched it once (this never happens). We go jump on daddy to wake him up, and she still has the tiara on and runs in the living room and keeps saying "show". We put on her show and she starts dancing. She is so cute!
Our buddy William came over for a playdate and lunch. They were so cute together playing in our kid gym in the basement! Running around chasing each other, going through the tube, walking the balance beam, and jumping into the pool of balls! I think I wore them out good! Hopefully they will take long naps today!

Day 151: April 10, 2010
...and the search is on!
We are looking for a new house! So Annette and I went to some houses today and they were awful. Like drive up and you don't even want to go in, awful! So after those disappointments we drove around and found a nice one but it was too much for us, great find though! After that Safina took a quick nap, then Safina and I went to Jamie's baby shower! YAY! She did really well and we had a nice time. After that we headed home and Mommy had some of her friends over for drinks, thai food and gabbing! So nice to catch up with my ladies! Tony even hung out with us for a while, and enjoyed girl's night!

Day 152: April 11, 2010
Breakfast with Gigi, Uncle Kyle and Aunt Sarah! Safina loved it, and ate so much! Then we went for a walk, then Safina hung out with Gigi while I went to a million Open Houses. Everything was awful! Not one good find... so exhausted. Raced back to get my sweetie so we could hang out at the pepsi center playroom for Malloy's first birthday! Yay! Safina hung out with lots of her friends and ran around like crazy! She loves loves loves this place! And so do I because it wears her out!

"whoo whoo" Owl as in Towel!
This morning I jumped in the shower before getting Safina out of her crib. So when I went up to get her my hair was wrapped up in a towel. She has seen this before, but she started pointing at it, and I said "Towel" and she was like "whoo whoo" I was like no, "T.O.W.E.L. only Owls go whoooo whooo" I must have said it a couple times but she didn't get it and kept hooting, she makes me laugh
After a quick errand, we had our friend Gianna and her mommy, Jamie, over for play, lunch and a photoshoot! So we had a very busy day!
We had the family over for dinner to celebrate Andrew's birthday! YAY! It was so nice to have everyone together!

Today we decided to venture to the park, since it was such a sunny morning. We called our buddy William to see if he could join us. We met Ida, William & Madelyn over at the park. Safina loved the swings and William loved the slides. Safina would watch William go down the slide, and as he was sliding, Safina would say "weeeeeee"! it was so cute!
After the park we went home for lunch then nap! (and the lower picture was how Safina was eating her strawberries!!) Mommy got some photo editing done, and was trying to catch up on things.
That evening when Daddy got home, we went to look at a house and do a bunch of drive bys. A long night but we learned a lot. So exhausted.
Day 155: April 14, 2010
Playgroup at our house this morning! We had a great visit with all our friends, and we even got to play outside for a little bit. I am loving the warmer weather, and the sun! Oh how I missed you sun!
Later on Mommy and Daddy's friend Eric came and helped fix a few things around the house. So another long day, but we got a lot accomplished.
Day 156: April 15, 2010
This morning we went to visit Grandpa at the restaurant. We also went for a walk down on the beach, what a beautiful day! LOVE IT! Papa (that is how Safina says it) taught Safina how to throw rocks into the lake, which meant we weren't going to go for a walk. She just wanted to stay put and keep throwing rocks in. So it was a very short walk, but it was fun, and it was so nice to see Papa! After that we went in to visit Grandma and she had a lovely goody bag of Easter things for Safina, tons of cute outfits, bubbles, sand toys, and pin wheels! She LOVES the pin wheels!
After the visit we headed home for a nap, and hopefully a low key afternoon. I am exhausted.
Daddy and Eric are going to the Sabres game tonight, so that leaves just us girls at home. I am hoping to catch up on more pictures, and other work I have to do. My life is insane right now... and I am exhausted!

Day 157: April 16, 2010
dentist this morning... what a terrible way to start the day :(
Lots of work needed, mommy's teeth are going to fall out of her head! Safina hung out with daddy all morning, and they had a great time. Lazy afternoon around the house, then we went to Grover's for dinner.
Tony and I were watching a food network show on famous burgers and one place that came up was Grovers (local place). So we have been meaning to check it out and finally did. We even took Miss Safina! We walked in, were seated, and ordered our burgers (Safina got grilled cheese). Within 10 minutes (if not sooner) our food was out! We were shocked. The burgers are ENORMOUS! We only ate half of our own, it was so much food. Then we got the bill and went to pay with a credit card and they said cash only, we didn't know this, obviously! So luckily we had some cash and were able to pay!
After that we headed home, after a quick stop at Target! While at Target we went down the shoe aisle and Safina would point at the ones she wanted to try on! I think we have ourselves a shoe diva!
Then mommy got a Mom's Night Out, and went to a movie. I saw Valentine's Day with the Mom's Group. It was a good movie. It was so nice to get out!
Day 158: April 17, 2010
Safina was picked up this morning by her Nonnie for a sleep over! I had a photo shoot soon after! Then I got to relax and sit down for a bit! So nice! Later Tony came home and I went to David's Bridal with my mom to find a dress for my cousins wedding. I think we found one, but I am going to wait on it. Also while I was there a woman asked me if I was getting a dress for prom. I love her, it makes me happy to think I look young enough to be going to prom!
Tony and I went out to dinner at Cafe Trattoria, so yummy! Then came home and just hung out. I watched the new Alice in Wonderland, it was ok.

A quiet, lazy morning! So nice! But I miss my little one. Went to a billion houses today, not a single one was promising! UGH! Oh well, we will keep searching. So glad to have Miss Safina back. She was so good riding around while we looked at some houses! After she went to bed I worked on some images, trying to get caught up!
Day 160: April 19, 2010
Just another Manic Monday!
Well not really, just had the song in my head! Safina and I went to the grocery store this morning. She really loves helping me pick out and bag the produce, it is so cute. Sometimes she tries to steal a bite too, so I have to watch her! She kept flirting with all the old men, and they loved it!
Then in the afternoon we played outside and had a great time! Then it was time to clean up and start dinner. Safina and I made turkey meatloaf muffins! They were very yummy and they are muffin size so you can freeze them and pull them out when you need them!

Day 161: April 20, 2010
We visited our buddy William today! Played over at his house, hung out in the backyard! He has a great swing set with a slide and ladder! We played in the sandbox, with bubbles, read books, had snacks, and got a tour of his vegetable garden! What a great morning (exhausting, so hopefully Safina will take a long nap!).
And she did! I got to pick up and do some stuff while Safina took a nice long nap! Then we played inside for a while! Then around 5:30pm we picked up our friend Brian and Katie for a photo shoot at Glen Falls!
After that home for a tubby, and bed for Safina! While I stayed up late trying to catch up on the pictures!
Day 162: April 21, 2010
Playgroup this morning! Yay! Safina loves playing with all her friends! After that she took a nice long nap! Daddy came home during Safina's nap, so after she got up we ran a few errands and then Daddy was a lucky guy to go get a massage!
After Daddy's massage we headed to Tully's for dinner and the Sabres Game with Mommy and Daddy's friends! It was so great to catch up! We haven't seen them in so long! Safina did great even though we kept her out a bit to late!
Day 163: April 22, 2010
Sleep, mommy wants sleep!
We kept Safina out late last night, so of course she woke up crying at like 4am. I just let her settle on her own, and she woke on and off a few times, finally getting mommy up at 6:30am. I am beat!
Ella came over for a photoshoot this morning! It was so nice to see her and her mommy! We had a nice visit and a fun shoot!
Then during lunch Safina kept making all these faces, and I was inspired by Ida's post of Madelyn and all of her faces, so here is a small montage of Safina Faces in a 1 minute session!
Tonight I had a few friends over and we worked on some adorable twirly skirts for our girls! They came out sooo cute, I will post a picture tomorrow!
Day 164: April 23, 2010
Dentist again. My Fridays are starting to follow a pattern... ugh! Luckily this is the last one for a few weeks (man do I have bad teeth)! After the dentist we went to get flowers. We bought yellow/orange and purple pansies! Now I just have to find time to plant them. We also got a TON and I do mean a TON of mulch, which I used to freshen up the plant beds this evening! It looks great, if I do say so myself. I will take pics tomorrow, after Tony cuts the lawn! After Safina's nap we went to look at two houses. Well the first one is IT! This is our house. Only problem is it is about $30,000 more then we want to spend. Who said we should look at this house??? ME! I am such a jerk! We are going to wait a little and see what happens, but we really do love this house. I really do hate house buying and selling. So I guess we have to get into gear and get our house sold!

Oh and little miss Safina is freaking adorable! She does the cutest things, and her reactions to things is just hilarious. She is totally in a show phase and keeps putting on any and all shoes and walks around in them, even if they are Daddy's and they are ENORMOUS!!! She also tries really hard to get her clothes on and off, but gets frustrated very quickly when she can't do it. She also loves the stool I put in the bathroom. If she goes "missing" I check the bathroom first and she is usually on the stool, pretending to wash her hands or combing her hair. So cute!
Day 165: April 24, 2010
Saturday morning Safina and I did a TON of laundry and picked up around the house, and were just plain lazy, we stayed in our PJ's till after lunch!
After Safina's nap Gigi came and got her and they had a wonderful visit together, and then Gigi decided at the last minute that Safina should just spend the night, and she would be sleeping in a big girl bed!
Meanwhile, Mommy went to a Tupperware party, and had a great time with her friends, while Daddy was slaving away cutting the lawn and doing other things. But don't worry Mommy was put to work as soon as she arrived home! I planted a bunch of flowers, cleaned up around the yard, vacuumed the car, helped clean and drain the hot tub, and some other stuff I am sure.
Once the sun set we were ready to crash, so we curled up on the couch and watched Blind Side. What a good movie!
Day 166: April 25, 2010
Well it is raining... BOO!! I was supposed to do a photo shoot with my brothers and their ladies at Delaware Park, but it is way too dreary out! So change of plans, we all went to breakfast instead! Yummy Pancake House! First we picked up Safina from Gigi's, and man did she not want to leave. She was having so much fun with Gigi she was pouting and calling for her well after we left her house.
After breakfast we headed to Target for some diapers and such, then on home for a nap! After Safina's nap we headed to the mall to get Daddy a new wallet, b/c his chiropractor said his wallet was too big. So we just walked around the mall a bit. Then home for a relaxing night and some yummy left over meat loaf!
Meanwhile our "dream" house is haunting us, b/c we want it so bad, but it really is a stretch for us financially, so we are trying to figure out what to do. In the meantime I took pictures of our house in case we decide to sell!
Day 167: April 26, 2010
Trying to lay low today, get my life in check. I had a mini-shoot at noon today, with two adorable kiddos, and then a quiet afternoon till Safina got up from her nap. I was able to work on a bunch of photos, so I am catching up a bit. Then I made the rash decision to call America's Choice to put our house up. Tony was totally surprised when he got home and reasoned with me that it was too soon, so I cancelled the appointment and took some time to re-think my/our strategy. So much going on, I am so overwhelmed. Tony went to watch the Sabres game at a friends and Safina and I went for a walk with Gigi. Then home to work on more photos! What a day, I am pooped!
Day 168: April 27, 2010
Organizer's playgroup this morning (and Ida joined us by speaker phone). We talked about a bunch of stuff, and are brainstorming some ideas! We were Imagination Movers! Ha I watch too much kids television! After our pow wow we headed to lunch at Ruby Tuesdays! What a nice morning. After lunch Safina and I headed to Verizon to get Daddy's phone switched, he broke it in half! Then home for a nap! I was able to work on more photos. A lazy afternoon, I need to get active! Ugh!
God I love this girl! Love those eyes, that smile, that face, those fingers, those toes, I could go on forever!
Day 169: April 28, 2010
Let's see??!!!?? What didn't we do today? First we dropped the car off for an oil change and inspection (this is on the corner of Eggert and Niagara Falls Blvd). Then we went to Dunkin' Donuts for some breakfast! Then we walked around the plaza, over to TJ Maxx and then to Toys R Us! We picked up a book for Safina at TJ, and a picture frame for Daddy (shhhh don't tell him), then after playing with the Thomas Trains at Toys R Us (we were killing time) I bought Safina a Wubbzy DVD for our trip! Then we got a call, the car was ready, so we picked that up. Then we headed to Ida's to drop off some stuff, we couldn't stay cause her kiddos are sick, and we don't want to catch anything. Funny thing was as we pulled into their driveway I hear "IDA" from the backseat. Safina knew it was their house, so crazy!
After lunch and a nap (during which I did some packing, cleaning, photo editing, emails, printing, phone calls, man I was productive!) we played with our train set, but it wasn't as fun as the one at Toys R Us apparently. After Safina helped me make dinner we ate, then went to Gigi's to visit with her and an old friend! So nice to see our good friend Marty! Again as we pulled into the driveway I hear "GIGI" from the backseat, again she knew where she was... maybe she did get my sense of direction... one can only hope!
A busy evening of packing, cleaning, and photo editing, and this chick is wiped! Off to bed!
Oh and I love that when I mention tubby to Safina she runs into the bathroom and says bubbles, and gets out the Mr. Bubbles from under the sink, and squeals with laughter when I add it to the water!
Day 170: April 29, 2010
Up and at'em! Headed to the airport this morning to catch our flight to Baltimore (followed by a drive to DC).
Uncle Andrew was awesome enough to pick us up and take us to the airport! I managed to pack us all in one suitcase, so there wasn't too much to juggle. Safina loves going on the moving sidewalks, so while waiting for the plane we did that a million times!
Fortunately we were able to keep her entertained enough on the plane and she did great. I also packed suckers for the descent, so that really helped! After we landed we went to pick up our rental car. I had reserved a compact and they tried to get me to upgrade, but we said no thanks, then we get out in the parking lot, and the guy looks at us, our luggage and the stroller and goes "I upgrade you for free"! So we said sure thing!
We headed to Paul and Shannon's house and stopped for lunch at Five Guys Burgers! Yummy burgers but way too much grease, we were feeling yucky! Then we walked around the nice outside shopping center just to stretch our legs and enjoy the sunshine.
We arrived at their house, and they were still at work, so we let ourselves in and got settled, and just hung out. Daddy took a nap, while Safina and I played. Then we went for another walk around a shopping center. We then headed to a park near their house so Safina could run around and play. She had a blast and loved having both mommy and daddy there! She loves the swings the most, but had a great time climbing around and going down the slides. After about 30-40 minutes we headed back to have dinner with Paul, Shannon, Emma & Liam. Shannon had made a super yummy vegetable soup, so we balanced out the junky lunch with a very healthy dinner! After the kids were in bed, the parents stayed up visiting! So nice to catch up.
Day 171: April 30, 2010
Oh what a night! Safina slept terribly. We made the mistake of staying up till midnight, then Safina woke up at 2am, and didn't go back to sleep till 5:30 am, then slept till about 7:30am. So we didn't get much sleep. Shannon made us a huge breakfast, very yummy and then we all got ready to go to the zoo.
Shannon and Paul have a new car the Mazda CX9 (i think) and it is awesome. It fit 4 adults and three kids (all in car seats). Plus two umbrella strollers and our monster stroller! We watched Madagascar on our way to the zoo, trying to keep the kids quiet.
We walked around the zoo and enjoyed the aminals (as Emma called them). It was a very nice zoo and even better it was free! Although they made their money at the food stations. We spent $30 on lunch!!
After a few hours we were all spent, so we headed back to Paul and Shannon's and the kiddos (and Tony) slept in the car! We played outside for a little bit then had more vegetable soup for dinner and the kiddos watched a show then took baths and off to bed! We were all pooped so we didn't hang out as late, we all crashed around 10pm.
