Today Mommy had a photoshoot at Knox Farms and Safina and Emery tagged along, so why not take a couple pics of my girls! (Oh and a fun shot of Emery eating!)
I love the bedtime routine that Safina and I have created! We go potty, brush our teeth, wash our hands/face, put on pj's, then jump into bed. Safina then picks out one or two books that we read together and if she knows it well she reads along! Then she turns on her music and projector and she asks "will you snuggle for 1 minute with me mommy?" of course I say yes! So we snuggle up and we talk about our day, and how much I love her and how proud I am of her, and then she asks me to tell her a pretend story and she tells me who the main character is (usually her). So I make up a little store for her, sometimes two, and we just snuggle. Then we do our own version of The Kissing Hand. I take one of her palms and give it a bunch of fast kisses, and then take her other palm and give it a slow kiss. Then I tell her she has two kinds of kisses from mommy to use how she would like. Then she puts them to her cheek and does fast and slow kisses with her palm to her cheek. Then she gives my palms the same kisses. It is so sweet. I love my baby girl!
