Aug 26, 2008 - Safina is smiling now, cooing, and tracking things with her eyes! She is growing so fast. She has also found her hand and sucks on it constantly... she keeps her thumbs tucked under her fingers, so I am sure that is what she is looking for, she just doesn't open her hands at all.

Aug 20, 2008 - We met Ryan James today. He is just the sweetest little boy! He has such soft features, and when he cries his face wrinkles up and he looks like this adorable old man! We are excited that Ryan and Safina will get to grow up together!

Aug 18, 2008 - Safina is so adorable! She is starting to coo! From what I read this is a little young, but she really is doing it, not for long, but it is so cute! Tonight I put her in her Fisher Price Papasan Swing (with bees that fly around) and she was "talking" to the bees while she was swinging... it was too cute!

Aug 17, 2008 - We had another full bath today... I think we might stop the sponge baths and only do the full baths, she enjoys them so much! It is so cute, she really does enjoy bath time, and afterwards she likes to laugh and talk on the changing table while getting a lotion massage! She is such a sweet girl!

Aug 16, 2008 - She had lots of visitors today! We were so excited to see everyone! We hope "Aunt" Janice, Joella, and Yolanda enjoyed meeting their "niece". Later that night we were lucky to catch up with "Aunt" Aubree, Uncle Chris and Jack! We can't believe how Big Jack has gotten!

Aug 15, 2008 - We had dinner over at Tony's Aunt Annette's and Uncle Dave's! It was a lovely visit as always with lots of yummy food. We also enjoyed meeting Tony's cousin Michael (from Florida). Grandma LaDota and Tino were there as well.

Aug 14, 2008 - Ok finally the doctors are pleased. Little Miss Safina is up to 8lbs 8oz! They said we don't have to come in until her two month appointment. We are so happy!

Aug 11, 2008 - Not only is today Grandma's birthday, it is also a milestone for little Safina. She has started cooing. She doesn't do it very often, but it has to be the sweetest thing I have ever heard! She is so amazing!

Aug 8, 2008 - Another visit to the doctors. Good news Safina is now 8lbs 3 oz. YAY!!! So we are thinking she is done getting weighed-in, but nope, they want to see her again next week! UGH!

Aug 7, 2008 - I cannot believe how alert she is becoming, and how big she is getting. It all goes so fast. I am so excited for the milestones to come, but can't help but feel like she is growing too fast, and I am missing the "newborn-ness".

Aug 6, 2008 - We met most of my mom's family up in Canada today. We went to Niagara on the lake, had lunch, walked around, shopped. Most of the family went on the Jet boats, but some of us just strolled around. Unfortunately, after the busy weekend we had, Safina and I were very tired, so we tuckered out pretty early on. But it was great to see everyone!

Aug 5, 2008 - I got a smile today. I am pretty sure she was smiling at me, because we were "talking" to each other and she was so intense watching me. I got two smiles! If they weren't real, I am still pretending that they were!

Aug 4, 2008 - We had our first visit to the zoo today, and can you believe I didn't get a picture, so bummed, I totally wasn't thinking. We went with Mark, Tonya, Emma, and Claire! I had a great time. Today was also daddy's first time to feed Safina! I think he really enjoys having that special bonding time with her! It was so cute to watch them.

Aug 3, 2008 - Today is Safina's party! We had the whole family over, almost 30 people, and she did great! She got to meet everyone and was passed around to everyone and was such a good girl. Mommy took lots of pictures which will be coming soon!

Aug 2, 2008 - Basically the whole family (my mom's side) was in town this weekend for Miss Safina's party on Sunday. Well we lucked out and got her birth certificate in the mail yesterday, so we were able to surprise everyone and go up to the cottage! It was so fun to see everyone, and to show off our little angel!

Aug 1, 2008 - Off to the doctors today. She weighed in at 7lbs 11oz. So she is gaining! They still want to watch her, so we have to go back next week... ugh!
