Day 83: February 1, 2010

Playgroup in the morning at William's! The kids had such a blast, and were chasing each other back and forth, so cute!

After playgroup we headed home for a nap, while mommy tried to get some stuff done! Quiet evening at home and reading!

We had some bad news today, Tony's uncle passed away today. Please say a prayer. Thank you.

Day 84: February 2, 2010

Had to have blood drawn this morning. yech! Ran a quick errand, then back at the house for a photo shoot! I am starting to get busy again, which is awesome! I just purchased some new backgrounds and a new stand, and they should be here this week! I am so excited!

I am exhausted, and am definitely chilling while Safina or Nert is napping!

So she is definitely teething, she is getting two more molars on the bottom. Poor thing!

Day 85: February 3, 2010

Eskimo Kisses! Taught Safina how to do eskimo kisses, she loves them! She also "reads" to herself. I will read her a book, and then when we are done, she opens it up and babbles... so funny!

We had playgroup at our house this morning, so fun to have all our friends over! After a nap we are off to the Aquarium for a First Birthday Party!

Ok back from the aquarium! Safina had a wonderful time! She loved the penguins, sharks and sea lions! She also loved being able to run around (since it is so small and there are so few people there). On the way home she was trying to fall asleep, and I was watching her, and it was adorable. She would squeeze her eyes shut real tight, and nuzzle the side of the car seat, and she would have this huge smile all the while her eyes are still shut and she is trying to get comfortable. Cutest damn thing I have ever seen!

Day 86: February 4, 2010

Doggy

This is doggy. This is Safina's favorite stuffed animal! (notice how she wouldn't even let me take his picture, she was already swooping in to grab him!) Safina picked him out after her 12 month doctor appointment where she had to get a TON of shots. She loves this guy. I am thinking I need to get another one, in case doggy ever "runs away". She sleeps with him, he watches her eat and take a tubby. After naps doggy gets all kinds of kisses and hugs. When I ask for one, I get nothing... doggy is one lucky pup!

Day 87: February 5, 2010

Couscous! My child LOVES couscous! She can't shovel it in fast enough, all the while saying "mmmm..." She wouldn't touch the rest of her food.

We had playgroup this morning and I think Safina enjoyed getting out of the house and playing at someone else's.

Spent the evening working on some pictures, and got a lovely phone call from my good friend Sharyn, and we chit chatted for over an hour and a half. I don't remember the last time we were able to chat that long. It was so nice!

Day 88: February 6, 2010

So Safina and I ventured to the mall today to get out of the house and walk around. We also were looking for a second doggy (in case this one goes MIA). I found it, but decided that I wasn't going to do that. So we just kept browsing.

After her nap, we just hung out and then we headed to dinner with Uncle Andrew and Aunt Janet. Safina did so well, behaving at the restaurant! Such a good girl!

Day 89: February 7, 2010

Getting ready for a photoshoot at 11am. Then hoping to get some baking done this afternoon, then off to "Uncle" Tony's to watch the Superbowl.

Had a great visit with our friends. Safina made it to almost 9pm, then needed to go to bed, so I took her home. She did really well!

Day 90: February 8, 2010

Family game night! Also celebrating the fact that Uncle Andrew is still with us, after his terrible car accident a few years ago. In honor of his survival I made him a Rice Krispie Treat Car with chocolate donut wheels! We love you Uncle Andrew!

Day 91: February 9, 2010

Tuesday! William came over to hang out for a bit while his mom went to the doctors. The kids had fun playing together. That was the highlight of the day!

Well she has begun saying that dreaded word... NO! I just hope she doesn't use it too much!

Day 93: February 11, 2010

Went to visit Great Grandma this morning! Safina did pretty well and was teaching Grandma how to use the ipod touch, it was pretty funny! She started to get pretty nasty so we had leave earlier then I wanted, but it was still nice to see her and catch up!

Day 94: February 12, 2010

Happy Friday! Today we had a valentine's day cupcake decorating playgroup! The kids weren't into decorating, but definitely loved eating! Safina had a great time playing with her friends!

Later this evening mommy got a much needed night out! I went to see Leap Year with some friends, cute movie, and so nice to get out of the house!

Day 95: February 13, 2010

Teddi Dance! Off to Rochester to visit Mike, Jen, and Ryan! We went to the Teddi Dance and the kids had a ball! Dancing, running around, and their first photo booth pictures! We had such a great time!

Happy Valentine's Day!

We spent the night in Rochester, little miss did not sleep well at all, so it was a long night. =Kind of a quiet day, then headed home. We were all dead tired! We ordered pizza for dinner! Nothing special!

Just another Manic Monday!

Went to playgroup today! Safina had lots of fun with her friends! Then she took a super long nap for mommy! It was awesome! After that we ventured to the grocery store and then hung out at home!

Day 98: February 16, 2010

So fresh and so clean clean!

Spent the day cleaning and getting caught up on laundry, wow fun! We also had a little playdate with William, they are so cute together! We also went to the library, where Safina loved reading all the new books! Also Safina ate cheerios (with milk) by herself for the first time!

Day 99: February 17, 2010

Playdate this morning! All the kids have so much fun! Safina also helped me with some more laundry, she loves pushing the clothes in the dryer and closing the door! Then she will run around the basement and refuses to come up the stairs, SOOO much fun. NOT!

Day 100: February 18, 2010

Yay Happy 100th Post!

Tony's aunt and cousin arrived yesterday, so we have been visiting all day! Mommy and Daddy are sick, so we aren't feeling that great and the energy level is really low.

We have been watching the Olympics, which is pretty awesome! Go Team USA!!

Day 101: February 19, 2010

Photoshoot this morning and a funeral this afternoon. Not a good combo day.

It was nice to be with the family. We went to dinner and had a nice visit.

Day 102: February 20, 2010

Busy Day!

Adrianna had an eye exam with Dr. LaDota ;) So I took her over to the practice and we picked out glasses as well! Lots of fun trying them all on! She ended up with an awesome pair! Then we went to Panera for lunch with one of her friends. All the while Safina was hanging out with Aunt Wendy! Later in the afternoon we went to the wall/rock climbing center and the kids and Adrianna were all climbing, while we were their spotters. Lots of fun, and Safina had a great time running around and jumping on the mats! Then everyone came back to our house for pizza and olympics!

Day 103: February 21, 2010

Daddy was up and out early to take the ladies to the airport for their return home! We had a great visit, but are bushed! Today is going to be a lazy day!

Safina came down this morning and saw the pizza box on the counter and yelled "Pizza", so I asked her if she wanted it for breakfast and she yelled "Yes"! Hahhaha so she had a special treat, pizza for breakfast!

Day 104: February 22, 2010

Catch up day! Just getting things straightened out around the house... catching up on laundry, running errands, etc!

While doing laundry Safina would go to the hamper pile and bring over an article of clothing and put it in the laundry basket and then say "goodgirl" then go get another piece, it was so adorable. Sorting took a while, but she was so darn cute, I had to let her finish!

Uncle Andrew and Aunt Janet came over for dinner and to chill out! We were all exhausted, but we had fun just hanging!

Day 105: February 23, 2010

Our buddy William and his sister Madelyn, came over for a photoshoot this morning! Then the kiddos played for a bit while Ida and I got to visit! So nice! We love our buddy William!

Off to the grocery store in the afternoon. Safina loves putting the fruits and veggies in the baggies. I let her hold them (so she can get a feel for them) and then I hold the bag open while she puts them in! She also loves throwing stuff behind her to put in the cart!

Day 106: February 24, 2010

Playgroup at our house this morning! Lots of friends came over to play and the kids all had a ball! In the afternoon Mommy got to run errands while Safina napped! I love when Daddy has 1/2 day Wednesdays! Then Uncle Kyle came over for dinner and to work on Daddy's website!

Day 107: February 25, 2010

Happy New Home Day for Gigi! Gigi signed the papers this afternoon and is now the proud owner of a new house! Let the games begin! We all met up there after work to help rip out carpets and start cleaning! So much to be done, but so much fun! YAY!

I also had a photoshoot this morning for our good buddies Olivia and Ava! The shoot was mainly for Olivia since she just turned 1! Happy Birthday little girl!

I am also busy working on a kids gym in the basement. So far I have a ball pit and a balance beam, but it isn't quite done. Still looking for a trampoline!

Day 108: February 26, 2010

Helped Gigi clean her new house today! Lots of elbow grease and vacuuming! We pulled up carpet in a few of the rooms and let me tell you it is a vast improvement! The hardwoods look amazing, and I can't believe they were hidden under the ugly gross carpet! Safina LOVED running around the big open rooms, and was trying to help as much as she could! Needless to say we are exhausted!

Day 109: February 27, 2010

A full day with absolutely no plans! We so needed this. We started off semi-productive, I started sanding and priming a few pieces of furniture that I am going to paint an off-white (creamy color). Once Safina went down for her nap, the sickness hit me! Both Tony and I started to feel pretty crummy, so we just hung out the rest of the night, and had a really quite day at home!

Day 110: February 28, 2010

Down for the count. Woke up feeling awful today. We were supposed to help my mom with her move some more and then go to Sam's hockey game, but I was feeling so lousy. Tony went to bowling in the morning and then came home and offered to take Safina to the game so I could rest up and try and get better. I took him up on the offer and out the door went the Daddy-daughter duo! I had a wonderful time not worrying about anyone or anything, and just sleeping and watching movies, well the two loves of my life had a fabulous time together! I am hoping I feel better tomorrow or I am in trouble!

oh and this is how we ate our breakfast this morning. Bowl of Cheerios with milk, she used her spoon to take out each cheerio and place it on her tray. It was a very nutritional breakfast and satisfying!

Day 52: January 1, 2010

Safina Helping in the kitchen! She loves hanging out while mommy cooks and cleans! She was stirring some marshmallows in a bowl!

Wow 2010, so weird! Woke up late this morning, thank you Safina! Snuggling on the couch watching the big fluffy snowflakes fall down, they are so pretty! Trying to get the motivation to shower and go shopping! The fun kind of shopping, not for food! Hope everyone had a fun and safe New Years! HUGS!

Day 53: January 2, 2010

Quiet morning, just hanging out. Then we ran a few errands, and Safina was sooo good, so we let her ride one of those electronic car rides in the mall, she really enjoyed it! After that we headed home for a nap! Tony and I decided to do some re-arranging and get the house back in order. I now have a studio upstairs, since the basement wasn't going to work, and he has a man cave in the basement! Uncle Andrew came over to watch Safina so that Tony and I could go to our office holiday party! (hahaha it was just the 4 of us, but we had a great time!) We went to a restaurant called Merge. It was pretty good. Tony loved his dinner! We had a great time, and a nice visit!

Day 54: January 3, 2010

Quiet day again! Safina and I met up with Gigi to look at a house today! Then we had breakfast at the Pancake House, yummy! Then we spent the rest of the day cooped up at home! It was nice!

Day 56: January 5, 2010

"Brother are you sleeping?"
Yay! Babies day! Started the morning by dropping Safina off at her Nonna and Pappap's house, then headed off to Rocha-cha! I met the G Family's twin boys! They are simply adorable! Mom and Dad are doing great and look wonderful, and big brother Jack is so awesome! I had a wonderful visit, and got to snuggle with babies all day, how could that be wrong! Jack is a riot, and I had a great time hanging out with him as well! I gave him his late birthday present (kiddie golf club, bag, and balls) and he kept calling them his golfing balls, too cute! What a wonderful visit. When I got home Tony and I just snuggled on the couch and enjoyed a quiet evening.

Day 57: January 6, 2010

Well Safina was still hanging with her Nonna and Pappap today, so I had a whole day to myself. What to do??? I ended up cleaning the house top to bottom, then running a bazillion errands! It was a productive day, but I missed my little girl so so so much! When she got home we hung out and I stole lots of hugs. After the princess was in bed, it was time for Family Game Night! My bros and their hos (hahaha) came over, as well as mom and her friend Bob! We had a great time! I love my family!

Day 58: January 7, 2010

Another low key day! We didn't even leave the house! Safina and I played all day, and just hung out. She is really working on her talking skills and now does a little sign language. She can say "more" "eat" "all done" and "help" in sign language. She also says "daddy", "cracker", oh and another new animal noise! Piggy! But it sounds like "onk, onk"... so cute!

Day 59: January 8, 2010

"STOP. THIEF. GIVE ME BACK MY BAG!!!"
Daddy was home today, so we did lots of running around! I am starting a Biggest Loser competition with my moms group, so I had to go weigh in ::dread:: Then we went to the Niagara Falls Outlets, to exchange some shirts that Tony got for christmas! I also got an adorable wristlet from coach for christmas, but I have so many of them, I went to see what else they had to exchange. I found this adorable wristlet (but it is more like a small purse)! So in love, it was near impossible to pick a color... and I still don't know if I picked the right one! Safina also loved Coach, I am training her well, and daddy just looked at me and was like "oh no!". After Safina's nap we went on a little shopping excursion but didn't really get anything. Just fun to get out! Then back home for dinner and beddy!

Day 60: January 9, 2010

"Don't I look pretty!"
Safina just loves looking in the mirror! Daddy had to work today, so Safina and I are going to hang out at home and get ready for dinner with friends tonight! I did a great yoga workout this morning, but Safina didn't like being ignored and kept dropping toys on my head and feet! Thanks sweetie!

Safina was so sweet at dinner. Our friends have a 4 month old little girl, who is just beautiful! Safina kept playing peek-a-boo with her (totally all her idea too, so adorable!) This kid is a heart breaker!

Day 61: January 10, 2010

Hitting the pavement! Went for my second couch to 5k run today! It is cold, but it feels so good to be doing something for myself. I am determined to keep this up. I am so tired of stopping things half way through.

Later we hung out with Uncle Andrew and Aunt Janet at their house! Safina chases their poor kitties everywhere! She can even say Beau's name! As we were leaving she was saying Bye Beau and blowing him kisses! So cute!

Day 62: January 11, 2010

Yoga again! She keeps leaning into me while I am in a pose, which makes it that much more challenging! Didn't do much, a few errands in the afternoon, and just hanging out. Worked out with Joella tonight which was great to catch up with her and get back into our routine!

ok well not really. I am itching for a party! Tony is going out of town in March for a guys weekend, and I am thinking, GIRLS NIGHT! My mind is racing with ideas! I can't wait!

On the reality side of things, we had a great visit with our friends today! William and Safina are so cute together, they gave each other kisses when they left! After her nap, we are off to the doctors office for Safina's 18 month appointment. 18 MONTHS... my baby is a year and a half old... how did this happen?

Day 64: January 13, 2010

Today was mommy's turn for a doctor's appointment. Ugh! Everything is fine, just thought I hadn't been in a while so probably should go. I got two shots, yay fun! Spend the rest of the day at home trying to be productive. Got a lot done, but not as much as I had wanted. I made Tony his favorite dinner, Ribs! I also tried a new recipe for sweet potato's... so yummy, will be making this again! After dinner my brothers and their girlfriends came over for game night and we just hung out and had a great time!

Day 65: January 14, 2010

I can't believe I did it. I actually got up early and went for a run! I am still in shock! After my run we had a playgroup this morning! Safina had a great time playing with her friends! She loves having other kids over! And Mommy loves having other mommies over! After nap time we ran a few errands and then took daddy to dinner! Safina was so good sitting at the table and keeping busy. I gave her some of my french fries and showed her how to dunk them in the ketchup... SHE LOVED IT! We had a great family night... so sweet! Love all the laughs! Why can't she stay this age forever!?!?!?!

"Cheese" photo shoot this morning, but first I went for a jog! Way to go me! After that off to EA to pick up my little girl from her Gigi's. Then a quiet day at home.

Tubby time, I just love tubby time and so does Safina! She keeps drinking/dumping the water on her face, and the faces she makes in reaction are hilarious! So I had to bring my camera in and get some shots! I just love that little doll face girl!

Day 69: January 18, 2010

My last doctors appointment for this month. Why did I schedule them all at the same time?!?! Safina was so good just hanging out in her stroller. After that we headed to playgroup and had a great visit with all of her girlfriends! We may attempt the grocery store this afternoon, but we will see ;)

Day 70: January 19, 2010

So behind... I will get pictures up soon, I promise! Scouts honor. Today our buddy William hung out with us while his mommy went to the doctor. He is getting so comfortable with us, plus he is so darn cute! After Safina's nap we went to Weggies! We just love it there! Other then that, not much going on.

Oh another trick I am doing with her, is when we are in a store and there are toys or stuffed animals, I take her to look at them, and usually let her look at the stuffed animals, and I say "hello _______ (whatever the animal is, and then make the noise too)!". She usually laughs, and then I say, well Mr/Mrs. animal has to stay here, so say good bye. At which point she will kiss it and say bye bye. She does really well with it, and I am hoping it will allow us to avoid the "I want it" as she gets older.

Day 71: January 20, 2010

Playgroup at our house today! Safina is totally enjoying having all her friends over. I think she missed all the interaction! So lots of fun with our friends, then a long nap while mommy tried to get some stuff done. Just around bedtime Uncle Andrew and Aunt Janet came over to hang out with us, so Safina was showing them how she does somersaults (well mommy helps, but she LOVES doing them)! After she went to bed, we watched Labyrinth, old school, but such a great flick! Ahhh the memories!

Day 72: January 21, 2010

A day of Firsts!

So my adorable daughter joined me for a lunch date with my good friend Jill! Thai food, so yummy! She loved the Jasmine Rice, but even more surprising she ate the tofu! I was pretty shocked. So we brought some home and I am going to see if she will eat it later, or if it was a one time thing. She also used a purse for the first time. I gave her one of my old purses to play with and she was carrying it on her shoulder and filling it with her toys!

She is also saying "Shhhh" whenever she sees someone sleeping, or in a bed. She loves putting her dolls to sleep. she covers them up and says "Shhhhh".

We have also started using Time outs! It seems to be working. When she does something wrong, I say "Safina please stop, if you do it again you are going in time out". Then if she does it again, I tell her "I asked you to stop, and you didn't, you are sitting in time out now." and I put her in the time out spot for 30 seconds while repeating "you are in time out because you didn't listen to mommy". Now if I threaten her with time out she usually stops. I don't just say it, I do enforce it if I need to, so I think it is working.

Day 73: January 22, 2010

Yoga with Joella this morning! Which was peaceful! Then Safina and I hung out the rest of the day, went for a walk! She loved stomping around in the snow and then she discovered eating snow, and I couldn't keep her away! I taught her the important lesson of "do not eat yellow snow"! Then when daddy got home from work, I got a much needed mommy night off! Went to dinner and a movie with Joella, we went to see Avatar, very cool and amazing movie!

Day 74: January 23, 2010

Another intense yoga day, what a workout! It felt so great! Gigi stopped by for a quick visit! Then we just hung out the rest of the day. We had Uncle Kyle and Aunt Sarah over for dinner and played wii! So fun! We have a master surgeon in our family! Dr. Kyle, at your service! HAHAHAH! (we have a surgery game for wii). Safina had a ball being chased by her Uncle Kyle!

Day 75: January 24, 2010

Went for a run this morning! What a pain, but it felt great! After that my mom and I went to a wake for a family friend. Very sad. I have such a hard time dealing with all the emotions that come along with death. I get so emotional, and I just can't control it. So it was a hard day.

After that we went to go check out mom's new house with more details. We walked around making a laundry list of things that need to get accomplished! We have a project on our hands, but it has so much potential! I kept joking that we will be eating A LOT of pizza in the next few months, since we will be over there helping her strip wall paper, and painting, etc!

Then we ended the day with a great family night! Andrew, Janet, Kyle, Sarah, and Mom all came over for a big spaghetti dinner and then we watched the Extreme Makeover Home Edition (the buffalo one), and hung out! We had a great time, we love spending time with the family.

Day 76: January 25, 2010

Went to playgroup today! On the way though I realized the brakes were bad on my car, so we just hung out at home the rest of the day, then when daddy got home we drove out to drop the car off. So we will be house bound for a day or two, so much for getting errands done!

Day 77: January 26, 2010

"Dude where's my car?" ugh... at the mechanics! Gettin' new brakes, yippee!! So Safina and I are stuck at home all day, which normally wouldn't be bad, but I have a MILLION errands to run... oh well. Instead we had our good friend William and his little sister Madelyn over to play! William and Safina are really starting to interact while they play, and that is just so neat! They are such a riot!

Day 78: January 27, 2010

We had playgroup at our house this morning. Safina had so much fun playing with all her friends.

"Dude where's my car... still!" Since Tony had to work last night we couldn't get the car. So today is his half day so we headed out in the afternoon to pick up the car. After a few errands, we went over to Amanda and Eric's house to help design their living room! The girls had a great time hanging out and running all over the house! Safina was caught doing something I told her not to, so we put her in time out, where she cried the whole time, but then when she got up, she remembered not to do what we asked her not to... so it worked! What a fun day, but I am exhausted!

Day 79: January 28, 2010

"Cool!!!" I got Safina up from bed, and was getting her dressed on her changing table and she points to her sunglasses, so I put them on her, and she goes "cool!" It was the cutest thing!

"tion" That is the word for lotion! When Safina was done with her bath, we put lotion on. She gets very excited about this part, it is basically the only way to get her out of the tub, since she will play with her toys, even after the water drains out! So I say, "Safina, look, lotion! Let's put lotion on!" So she jumps out of the tub, and helps me run her lotion in! Sometimes she tries to eat it!

So two photo shoots today! First a newborn, she was so itty bitty with a very pretty name: Amari. I also had a one year old's birthday pics! So much fun, just love the kiddos!

OH and a side note... I am totally not loving the new nickname my husband has for my daugther. Nert... what kind of name is Nert?? It comes from the formal name Feenertia... which was his prior nickname for her, which comes from Fee, which comes from Safina... and he has now condensed it to Nert.

Day 80: January 29, 2010

Hair Twirler. I did it (still do occasionally) and now my daughter does it! I don't think I have really done this in front of her which leads me to believe it is hereditary. Which is nuts!

Hung out with Tony's aunt and her kiddos today! Safina did so well playing with them for a few hours, she just loves big kids!

Day 81: January 30, 2010

"Oh what a night!" Little miss decided to wake up at midnight (which was when I was going to bed), and then was up till 4am. Mommy is exhausted! I have no idea what was wrong. It could be teeth, I gave her some Motrin, but it didn't seem to help. She would not go back to sleep. So it is going to be slow going today.

I had a maternity photo shoot this afternoon, which happened to be someone I went to high school with, such a small world!

Safina is staying at Tony's aunts house tonight, so we had an afternoon all to ourselves! So we drove around looking at houses and made the mistake of stopping at a new build model home. It was love at first sight. Unfortunately it is out of our price range, and not sure the cheaper ones are the layout we want. bummer!

After that Dinner with Andrew at Smokeybones, then we passed out on the couch at 9pm... so tired!

Day 82: January 31, 2010

A whole Sunday morning to myself... what to do? The house is so quiet... I should do yoga, catch up on laundry, clean, work on a craft project. Instead I snuggle up on the couch and read. I am becoming such a book worm... and I love it!

I had a shoot this afternoon with an itty bitty! so cute!

Then yoga/pilates in the evening with Joella!
